“And the Award Goes… to Queen B Darling!”
Yes, that’s right. Just to add on to Bonang Matheba’s year of winning, we at Girl Boss thought we should ‘host’ our very own South African Reality TV Awards and without a single ounce of doubt, Bonang, who is a South African Media Personality, Entrepreneur, Reality TV Star and Influencer, is easily our winner.
It is no secret that Queen B has been slaying this year honey, from the launch of her local MCC brand (House of BNG), Co-Producing and Featuring in the Public Figure Documentary (Insert link), to collecting Influencer Awards all over the globe, and of course blessing our screens with Season 3 of Being Bonang.
So, we thought that it is only called for if we added another award to her list, naming her and her production, literally, the Best Reality TV Show in Mzansi. We’ve watched them all, all Reality TV shows that Mzansi has to offer, and we are still watching, but none of them compare to season 3 of Being Bonang. It is honestly the best season of the hit show, which aired in July 2019 all the way through to September, on 1 Magic, and we must admit, we have never been so glued to our screens.Waiting for an episode of Being Bonang was genuinely the most exciting time of the week. This award goes to the Queen for the simple reason that she gives us life! Saying she is an inspiration would be an understatement, she is a trailblazer, a trendsetter, a goddamn winner, who works relentlessly to master her craft and we stan, we salute. There is no other influencer, in our opinion that has motivated and inspired us to work as hard to master our craft as Bonang has done.
And for that, all we want to do is honour her and her majestic Reality Show for giving us the opportunity to witness how it is done. She is candid and meticulous about how she wants things done; a note that we do not ever have to settle. She also has one of the most honest and realest personalities, which we appreciate because with all that winning, it is great to witness how humble she is.
Season 3 is the season where we can openly confess that we fell in love with the Queen. The season has been the absolute zenith of her Reality TV career thus far, and we vouch that all young women who are need of inspiration, who are in need to see how winning looks and feel like to catch Season 3 of Being Bonang. Bonang, thank you for showing the young black girl that it is possible, all of it is possible. We honour you, and congratulations on having such an amazing year. We look forward to the blessing of season 4 of Being Bonang, which we anticipate will be just as great if not better!

Hermosa Flor Is BOMB!!!
Girl Boss has been lucky enough to get an early package from Hermosa Flor. The lovely @Gorgeous_Mbali (Mbali Sebapu) is a well-known influencer who has been killing the game for years. She sits at 249k followers on Instagram. She collaborates with great brands such as Ponds, Audi and of course Girl Boss! She has become Entrepreneur who is breaking boundaries and stepping into her greatness. She is the founder and CEO of Hermosa Flor. Hermosa Flor is a make line which is set to be released on the 31st of October! If you don’t know who she is or if you haven’t heard of her makeup line then GIRL? Get your life in order!
Her make up line consists of Glowgang Eyeshadow, Glowgang Highlighter and Matte Liquid Lipstick! Check out our review on all products;
The Hermosa Flor Cosmetics consists of 4 Matte Liquid Lipsticks. So, before trying the actual product, I decided to analyse the packaging. I like the box in which the lipstick stays. It has gold writing which isn’t hard to read. The theme is basically black and gold. The box has the brands name and directions on how to use the product, how to maintain the product and how to remove the product. However, what stood out the most are the names of the lipsticks! The name of the lipstick can be set as a reminder of how fierce, great and important you are. Names such as Badass, Dream Chaser, Goal Digger and Ambition will really have you feeling extraordinary and that what we all want when using a specific product! So, I think Gorgous Mbali nailed this!
So, I tried all the lipsticks and they are absolutely amazing. The product smells good, it actually has an earthly scent with a hint of raspberry. I started off with Dream Chaser. It is a bold red with a blue undertone. My skin is dark, therefore, when using this colour I had to outline it with black or a very dark brown. Those who are super fierce may wear this colour on its own.
The second colour I tried was Gold digger, this colour is dark brown with a greyish undertone. I really like this lipstick, however, I also had to outline it with black so that the brown would stand out a lot more.
The third lipstick I tried is called Ambition!! This is my favorite!! The name says it all. The colour is a bright nude which stands out. You have to be super extra and just have ambition to try this lip colour. I outlined it with a dark brown to make it blend in and sit well on my lips. I think the dark brown is necessary for dark skinned women. You don’t want to look ashy.
The final lip colour I tried is Badass, this lippie was my least favourite. It didn’t look good on me. The colour is between a light and dark purple. I’m sure there are ladies who can rock this matte look
The #GLOWGANG Highlighter! The perfect highlighter kit for black women! This kit will work on all shades from caramel to chocolate! However, I wish the highlighters had names, this will make identifying the product easier when being referred to in conversation. There is a mixture of different tones and shades from dark brown to yellowish gold, to rose gold… its literally all there!!!!! My favourite is the darkest highlighter, it’s very close to my skin tone and just pops whether I’m in the sun or not!
And lastly, the #GLOWGANG Eyeshadow, OMG!!! I have no words! This palette is too die for! PIGMENTED! You don’t have to go over and over for the colour to show. I love it, its perfect. This palette has names for each eyeshadow, my favourite is Brow It, Angel face and Sis Star. I used all these colours together and created MAGIC. Brow it is versatile and can be used for your brow, to contour your cheek bones and base your eyelids.
Mbali, we love it! We will Slay It, Contour It, Glow Up, Drip and Queen with Hermosa Flor!!!!!!!!!
